Take a bite of this hot, funny new series - set in an alternative Louisiana, where vampires have come out of the coffin because they've learned to curb their killer instincts. Someone invented synthetic blood - but have the nightwalkers really lost their appetite for the real thing? Created by Alan Ball ("Six Feet Under") and based on a popular series of books, the show stars Oscar-winner Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, a roadhouse waitress who is a virgin - and who can read people's minds. Her brother is a woman-chasing hound, her best friend is a smart-mouthed troublemaker. Throw in a handsome new vampire in town (Stephen Moyer) and a black market in vampire's blood - along with a series of murders - and you've got the makings of a smart, sexy show that will hook you fast.
