Exclusive: Melissa Rycroft Engaged!
Let's hope Melissa Rycroft's second engagement goes better than her first one! The Bachelor contestant, who Jason Mesnick popped the question to earlier this year and then reneged, is engaged to be married again!
Melissa, who went on to compete on Dancing With the Stars and is now a correspondent for Good Morning America, is preparing to wed her boyfriend of only a few months, Tye Strickland.
The couple held an engagement party at Cretia's in Dallas on June 26. "Melissa came into the restaurant at 9:30 pm with a group of about 20 friends and they all toasted Veuve Clicquot champagne to her great news," a source tells Star exclusively.
"Tye was there too. They all seemed very excited. Her friends went on and on about what a great couple Melissa and Tye are. They are so happy she finally met a decent guy."
A second source tells Star that Melissa has been afraid to share the good news with the world. "Melissa doesn't want everyone to know yet that she is engaged to Tye because she doesn't want to be judged for getting engaged again so soon after her last fiancé, Jason, broke it off with her last March," the source tells Star.
"The last thing she wants is people saying that she must be desperate. She's been dating Tye for only a few months but she's known him for years, so she thinks he's solid."
Still, Melissa is thrilled to be engaged! "She has long wanted to be married — she's a Southern girl at heart and can't wait to be a wife," the source tells Star.
"Tye was so supportive during her whole rise to fame and during her grueling rehearsals for Dancing With the Stars that she is certain he will be a good husband. He is nurturing toward her and that's what she needs."

If he is a good man and makes you happy, don't worry about what the world thinks. What only matters is what you and Tye think. Anyone saying a negative thought about this is jealous or unhappy in their own life.

Geez, she wasn't heart broken by the bachelor, just embarrassed. Another Jennifer Aniston who can't get attention for any talent, so they'll play the victim card too. Hey wait, Jenn came in second too!
