Katie Holmes Has New Spring in Her Step
Katie Holmes is breaking out her dancing shoes!
The actress will perform a song and dance tribute to Judy Garland on So You Think You Can Dance in celebration of the show's 100th episode on July 23. Katie will cut a rug to the the famous Judy tune "Get Happy" from the musical Summer Stock.
Although Katie loves to dance, the real reason for her TV appearance is to benefit the charity Dizzy Feet Foundation. The organization was founded by the actress -- as well as Hairspray director Adam Shankman, Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and So You Think You Can Dance executive producer Nigel Lythgoe -- to support, improve and increase access to dance education in the United States.
"I think it's important for children to experience music and dance," Katie recently said. "Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit."
Rumors have been swirling that the Mrs. Tom Cruise was set to appear in the show since she was photographed leaving CBS Studios in Los Angeles, where the reality show films, in dance gear last month. This will be her second TV appearance since her Dawson's Creek days. Last year she was a guest star opposite Angelina Jolie's ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller in ABC'sEli Stone.

She is a no talent..She used to be a bubbly girl, now she is robotic, thanks to her new hubby Tom..I wish you 50 more years of wedded robotic bliss..

Surprised she is allowed to do this by her "HUSBAND". You can rest assured there is something in it for him or she wouldn't be allowed.. Feel sorry for her and the little girl. I have to agree she looks very unhappy all the time.

I thought she was absolutely fantastic on Eli Stone last year. She has a great voice and her dancing was wonderful and fun to watch.I can't wait to see her on So You Think You Can Dance. It will be a great performance.

Katie is wonderfully talented, but her talent is being wasted on Tom. I wonder with her making some of her own decision how long she will be in "purification" again. She needs to spread her wings, be who she is. Katie's changed since she married Tom. She is haggard and tired looking all the time. She never seemed to be in a constant state of depression until she married Tom.
