Hilary Duff to Create Drama on Gossip Girl
Hilary Duff will return to her TV roots this fall, though her character probably won't be as G-rated as the Lizzie McGuire we all knew and loved.
The Disney-bred actress is joining The CW's Gossip Girl as Olivia Burke, a big screen starlet who attends NYU in search of a low-key college experience. But Olivia can go ahead and forget about living quietly, as she'll be sharing a room with drama magnet Vanessa, played by Jessica Szohr!
The only thing giving these two a run for their money is Michelle Trachtenberg's Georgina, who requested to room with Blair (Leighton Meester) in the second season finale last May.
Olivia will make her Gossip Girl debut on the fourth episode of the season, scheduled to air Oct. 5. Hilary initially planned on playing a young lawyer this fall in a new comedy, Barely Legal, but NBC decided not to pick up the series.
No word yet on which Gossip guy Olivia will be sinking her claws into, if any, but with Dan (Penn Badgley), Nate (Chace Crawford) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) all attending college in the city, she certainly has options.

i do not think she should do that because the kids that used to watch her will probabaly watch her on this show and set a bad example

Yes GG is doing great without her but she is a great actress and she will give the show some more drama which hello thats y i love it

I really don't like Hiilary Duff. She's not a good actress and will NOT make a good addition to the Gossip Girl cast. They're fine how they are.
